Building Links With A Linkwheel
A linkwheel is a very useful tool if you're looking to build links for a new website. While there are a variety of ways to construct one, some are easier than others. The basic purpose of one is to make it appear as if your site has a variety of types of properties linking to it.
The first step is creating a bunch of Web 2.0 properties using different blog platforms and a bunch of other "information type" platforms - Squidoo, InfoBarrel, etc. Add some quality content to these sites, let them age a bit, and then start to filter in links to your main site with your desired anchor text.
Next, you'll want to create even more Web 2.0's with more quality content that relates to your niche. This content can be spun, but it should be unique to a certain extent. The more unique your content is, the more natural it will look. After these sites have aged a bit, begin interlinking them between your original set of Web 2.0's and your money site.
After this, you'll want to do some article marketing. To do this, you'll want to first find a good list of auto-approve article directories. Then, either write them by yourself or outsource it to an agency that specializes in making keyword rich articles. Once you have your write-ups, submit them to the various submission sites with your anchor text where it's allowed by the specific site. The links within should lead back to your various Web 2.0 properties.
Now that you have some initial links back to your "information-type" sites, you should back these with submissions to non-auto approve article sites, like Ezine. By doing this, you can create some legitimacy for your original submissions, which lead back to your other supporting properties.
Now, just sit back and continue to create backlinks to the various articles and sites that you've created. This will help them to get indexed quickly, which will in turn give your main site more backlinks. One of the keys with a linkwheel is taking your time in building it. If you try to rush things, it may look so unnatural that the search engine recognizes what you're trying to do. You should make an honest attempt to create quality content for each of your pages, as it will not only help with links, but also with traffic.
